English translation:
O compatriots who believe in the deception of the Americans and in their false promises;
Oh Mother Filipinas, floating helplessly in a sea of suffering and torment, in the midst of a storm engulfed by waves roaring and pounding:
The inducements of the Federalistas are indeed the cause of our abandonment to the elements, our drowning in the sea of suffering and hardship. They have caused the treachery of many children; who believed the enticements and no longer remembered and cared for the others, the many whose lives were lost, the ones abandoned.
Oh where is your pity and concern, my countrymen; Didn't you swear at the foot of Jesus Christ that you would not surrender? That's why the Innocents believed your appeals, you Officials and Chiefs. And so now, where are you? Why are you in the town centers; why have you abandoned the Government? Greedy people: in the end you will be denounced. In the end, your descendants will blame you for the hardships they will encounter. In your graves will you be humiliated whenever our story is read.
There is still time to regain the honor that plummeted with the Star and carry it once more on our shoulders. Present yourself to Malvar who is in deep anguish. Long live the Commanding General Malvar! Long live the remaining soldiers! And Mabuhay. Mabuhay, to those in the mountains defending our righteousness.
