Pumailalim sa utos ng Concejo Supremo ang mga Batangan at kinikilala ang aming kapangyarihan. Sa loon ng tatlong araw ay kanilang lulusubin ang walong bayan. Sa bagay na ito'y kanilang hinihiling ang aking tulong; tila binigyan ko ng dalawangpung sundalo at dalawang-gulukan sa ilalim ng paguutos ng kapatid na Artemio Ricarte.

Ang Gobierno Provincial ay naitatag na sa Batangan at ang General na namamahala ay si D. Miguel Malvar, isang lalaking matalino at marahil ay mabuti kay sa General na kilala namin dito sa Tanway.

Kung sakaling sila'y magtatagumpay na makuha ang bayan ng Lipa, isa sa walong bayang lulusubin, hinihiling nilang magtatag ako ng aking gobierno doon at ng alinsunod sa kanila ay maipagpatuloy ang pakikilaban hanggang sa Camarines. Dahil dito'y ibig kong malaman sa iyo na kung ako'y kailangan diyan sapagka't sa gayo'y paririyan ako, at kung hindi naman ay mananatili ako sa Batangas.

The Batangan submitted to the orders of the Supreme Council and recognized our authority. In three days, they will attack eight towns. In this matter, they asked for my help; apparently, I provided twenty soldiers and twenty bolomen under the command of brother Artemio Ricarte.

The Provincial Government has already been established in Batangan and the General in charge is D. Miguel Malvar, a wise man, and perhaps better than the General we know here in Tanway.

In case they succeed in capturing the town of Lipa, one of the eight towns to be invaded, they requested that I establish my government there, and in accordance with them, the struggle be continued as far as Camarines. Because of this, I want to know from you if I am needed there, because if so, I will come; but if not, I will stay in Batangas.
